For today’s Obstacle Course Race Training, I really wanted to climb the rope. I had specific instructions to count 8 up and down on the first round, then 6, then 4, then 2.
After each rope climb, I did 15 squats carrying the bucket, (honestly I chose squats because I bloody hate running with that damn thing! It was my easy way out on training with a likely obstacle in my next race, Race the Inferno.) and 15 Burpees.
So 4 rounds in all.
The cool thing about the ladder down idea is after 2 of 4 rounds, I’m more than half way through. Not to say that I don’t enjoy the process! Believe me… I don’t think there are too many more satisfying physical feats you can accomplish than climbing a rope! Almost NOTHING beats getting up that M*** F*** rope!
